Terma Bania Hotel is where winter sports, hiking, and fresh air meet the thermal waters.
It was the beginning of March, and working on the itinerary for the tour of Poland, I was looking for a stop that would make the journey to Krakow easier. We also had stops at Wadowice, Auschwitz, and Wieliczka, so it was impossible to make the trip in one piece.
Remembering the famous Zakopane trampoline and one of the famous modern flyers, Adam Malysz, I discovered this beautiful area, close to the border with Slovakia.
Bialka Tatrzanska, a lively resort!
Being a winter sports enthusiast with a 16-year skiing tradition in Austria, I must admit that, until now, I was not familiar with the ski areas in Poland. But what we found here really fascinated us.
The ski area consists of: Bania, Kaniowka, and Kotelnica has 18.3 km and is served by 19 cable installations! Skiing here was a delight, and although with the purchased ski pass we could go on several areas (96 slopes, 87 cable installations, and over 62 km), we stayed only on the site mentioned above, thanks to:
- the sun that bathed the slopes here,
- long slopes, very well prepared,
- Apres Ski facilities (even though restaurants and bars are currently closed indoors),
- ski resort – ski-out, where we stayed!
Terma Bania Hotel, an oasis of relaxation and good taste.
Another delight here is the Terma Bania Hotel, a superb resort with a beautiful view of the Tatra Mountains and top facilities. The place is a natural oasis of relaxation, good taste and impresses at every step through the care for guests and the services.
The hotel is located directly on the slope, and it has an impressive Therme with:
- lots of thermal pools and dedicated water massage areas, both indoors and outdoors,
- an excellent “world of saunas,”
- an Aqua Park for the most energetic,
and in regular times:
- three restaurants,
- lots of attractions for the little ones (themed playgrounds, indoor and outdoor, cinema, plus lots of other attractions),
- a club, and an outdoor stage for concerts!
Quality services at every step.
In addition to the beautiful swimming pools and the hotel’s location, we were very pleasantly impressed by the people in the hotel, the promptness, and the constant willingness to turn your holiday into a memorable experience.
The food is also delicious, varied and high quality and the breakfast system was very innovative, in the sense that, as the restaurants were closed. As you could no longer go to the Swedish buffet, the Swedish buffet came to us, on carts, and each of us could see the dishes and choose what we wanted, the food being served by the staff.
A super innovation was the hotel bracelet, which served as:
- room key, wallet,
- ski pass on the slopes, ski equipment rental,
- key for the special room for the ski equipment where each room had a personal closet,
- access to the SPA and other facilities in the resort!
“All in one,” innovative and very comfortable for us as guests.
Why are we coming back here?
First of all for the extraordinary services and facilities. Then you need to know that prices are more than reasonable. Some examples:
- on the slope: 115 lei ski pass for one day, 65 lei top equipment rental, 25 lei a super good pizza, 25 lei an Aperol Spritz, etc.
- infrastructure and slopes, waiting time 0, heated seats, automatic (not all, but enough),
- slopes in excellent condition, including after lunch
Yes, I know, all the above examples are normal, but unfortunately, we have come to enjoy normalcy nowadays.
What else can you do in the resort?
- you walk through the small resort and try the local delicacies. Don’t miss the famous Oscypek cheese, which you can serve raw or on the grill,
- run to the Vlach descendants in Zakopane, a superb resort, to visit the renowned trampoline,
- you go with the sleigh, ride with the horse-drawn sleigh, choose a speed descent with the coil on the tubbing slope, do a lap with the snowmobile or
- relax, enjoying the fresh air, peace, nature walks, and beautiful views!
We were super impressed by this place. We also found out the secret. It's called Supersnow.
Whether you want to ski or not, the whole area is beautiful, the possibilities for spending free time are many, and I am sure you will never regret that you chose to spend a few days of storytelling in these places!
